This policy explains what information Work Decals collects when you visit workdecals.com or order from us, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Information we collect
What you give us
- Orders: your name, email address, phone number and shipping address, the products you order, and the exact text and options you enter for your decal (for example your company name, USDOT number and MC number).
- Messages: your name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message when you use the contact form or email us.
- Email list: your email address when you subscribe in the site footer.
What we collect automatically
- Technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location from your IP address, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see below).
From payment processing
Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe gives us confirmation that you paid, the amount, and the contact and shipping details you entered at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number.
What we store in your browser
Your cart and the lettering you build are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there if you come back. This stays on your device and is only sent to us when you place an order or ask for a price.
How we use your information
- To take, make and ship your order, and send receipts and tracking emails.
- To answer your questions and handle guarantee, replacement and refund requests.
- To send occasional deals and coupons if you joined the email list. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To run, secure and improve the site, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand which pages and products are useful.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising tags on the site. They use cookies and similar technology to count visits, understand how people use the site, and measure and improve ads, including showing our ads to people who visited the site. These services receive information such as your IP address, device details, pages viewed and purchases. We do not sell your information for money. To limit this tracking you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Ads Settings and Analytics opt-out add-on, and Microsoft's advertising privacy settings.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run the business:
- Stripe to take payments.
- Cloudflare for hosting, security, our database, and email delivery and forwarding.
- Shipping carriers to deliver your order (your name, address and, where needed, phone number).
- Google and Microsoft for the analytics and advertising described above.
- Professionals and authorities such as accountants or lawyers, or when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others.
- A buyer if the business is sold or reorganized.
Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep information
We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfil your order, honor our 3-year guarantee, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Contact-form messages and email-list addresses are kept until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer useful.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and payments go through Stripe's secure checkout. No website or system can be made perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and to stop marketing emails. Email info@workdecals.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we may keep information we are required to keep, such as order records.
California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. To use these rights, email info@workdecals.com, and use the browser and ad-setting controls above to limit advertising cookies. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Children
The site is for businesses and adults. It is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. We ship only within the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
