A big yellow excavator arm fills the top half of the frame. A thick boom climbs from the lower left to a peak, a slimmer stick drops down on the right, and a toothed bucket sits at the bottom right. It is all one flat yellow shape, with narrow white gaps marking the joints. Under the machine, two lines of black capitals in a tall, narrow face: the first word large and chunky, the second smaller and spread to a similar width. The sample name, Bigdig Excavating, is made up, and yours replaces it.

Since the machine takes up about half the height, the name has just two lines underneath to do its job. A first word of around six letters fills the big line comfortably. A longer one has to shrink to stay within the width of the arm. The smaller line takes a trade word, and a name with no trade word can borrow one for it. There is no real room for a tagline. The whole shape is close to square, so it fits a squarish door panel better than a narrow strip.

Yellow and black both want contrast from the paint, which makes this one a little picky. Silver, medium gray, tan and mid-blue doors let both colors show. On white, the yellow arm turns soft while the black name stays strong. On black, navy or dark green, the arm lights up but the black name fades away. It suits excavation, grading, trenching and site-work outfits, and the machine silhouette makes the trade clear without reading a word.
