A solid black badge shaped like a pill, with rounded left and right ends, carries three centered lines of wide yellow capitals: ROADSIDE, RECOVERY and TOWING in the sample, a made-up name that yours replaces. A small round tab rises from the top center of the badge, holding a thin yellow hook-and-ring symbol. The hook is small next to the lettering, so from a distance it reads as a little ring. Black and mustard yellow are the only colors.

If you only have two lines, the badge may look empty unless the letters grow, so tell us how many you have. Very long lines make the letters smaller because the pill keeps its shape. Send your lines in the order you want them and we fit them in, then you check the proof.

Black with yellow lettering works on almost every door color except black. On white, silver, yellow, red or light blue paint the badge stands as its own shape and reads easily. On a black or very dark door the edge of the badge disappears and the yellow letters seem to float. The heavy block letters suit a tow or recovery operator. Since the badge is a self-contained shape, a USDOT number decal can sit next to it on the door without competing.
