Red and black show best on white, silver, light gray and yellow doors. On a black door the lettering disappears and only the plug and cord remain, and a red door hides the plug entirely. The cord is a thin line, so up close it reads as a flourish and from far away as a loose red curve. The plug marks this as an electrical design, and the slanted letters give it an energetic, casual look that suits a smaller shop.
