Garage Door Panel Logo
Red capitals under a charcoal garage door panel icon. Your name fitted and proofed first. $120 per door.
Garage door truck decals that say who you are and who to call. Logo ideas, door layouts with sample text, color tips and an optional contour cut.
Garage door truck decals do their job when a homeowner standing at the curb can read three things without squinting: your company name, what you do, and a phone number. A garage door tech spends the day parked in front of other people's houses, so the door of the truck is the sign. Everything else on it is a bonus.
A neighbor looks at your truck for a few seconds while walking a dog or pulling out of a driveway. They will not remember a long list of services. They will remember a name, a trade word and a number they can screenshot with a phone.
That is why the trade word matters as much as the name. "Overhead" alone could be a roofer or a crane company. "Garage door repair" under it removes the guess. If you also install new doors or openers, one short extra line is enough: "Repair, openers, new doors."
Here are two layouts with made-up text. Put your own business details in the door builder to see them on a door before you order.
Layout A, name and phone on three lines:
Layout B, five lines on a cab door:
The Business Name + Phone decal is the simpler choice for Layout A: the middle line is an optional tagline. Layout B needs more room, so use the Make-Your-Own 5-Line, where you type any text on five lines.
Keep the service-area line honest and short. A town or county name reads better than a list of ten towns, and a smaller line is the first thing to become unreadable when the truck is moving.
The Garage Door Panel Logo stacks a charcoal icon of a sectional door above three lines of red capitals. Because the name sits under the icon, this design suits a short name of one or two words. A long family name breaks into more lines and the logo gets taller than it is wide.
If your name is long, such as "Henderson and Sons Garage Door Service", consider a wordmark-only layout from the Make-Your-Own decal and let the name run on one wide line. If your name is short and punchy, the icon design gives you a recognizable shape for your truck, uniforms and invoices.
When people search for garage door logo ideas, they usually find an overhead door drawn with horizontal panels, a spring or a gear. The panel icon works because it is drawn so simply that it stays recognizable from across the street. Your name is fitted to the design and a proof comes first to approve before printing, at $120 per door.
Charcoal and red are strong against a white or light truck, and weak against a dark one. If your truck is dark gray, navy or black, look at the proof carefully: a charcoal icon can sink into dark paint. If it does, a lettered decal in a light color is the safer pick for that truck. Our guide on fonts and colors for truck lettering explains which pairings hold up at a distance.
Without it, the logo decal is a rectangle. The optional contour cut, +$10 per door, cuts the decal to the shape of the logo instead of a rectangle, so only the icon and letters stay on the paint. It looks cleaner on a white truck. It also means the logo's own colors sit directly against your paint, so check them against your truck color first. Keep it to one short line, three items at most, such as "Springs, cables, openers." The door is read at a glance, and every extra line makes the name and phone smaller. Put the full list on your website and business card. If a service is only occasional, leave it off the truck so the lettering stays large.
Lettering is enough if the name and phone read clearly. A logo helps people recognize the truck again and ties it to your uniforms and paperwork. The Business Name + Phone decal costs $24.99 per decal and gets you on the road. You can add a logo design later and keep the lettered decal on the other side or the tailgate.
Only if it is short and easy to spell. A phone number is faster for someone in a driveway. If your web address is long, put it on the rear door or a trailer panel where people are stopped behind you, and keep the side doors for name, trade and phone.
Pick it if you want the icon and letters to look painted on and your truck color gives them enough contrast. Skip it if you prefer a plain rectangle, which can be easier to read on a mid-tone or patchy door. Either way you approve a proof before printing.
