The wide, spaced capitals on the first line suit a name of about eight letters, like the sample, or two short words. ROOFING is shorter and centered, so a trade word of similar length looks balanced under it. A longer first line means smaller capitals, and a single short word will sit in the middle of a wide line, so mention that with your order. Black lettering is about as easy to read as lettering gets on white, silver, light gray, tan and yellow doors, and the red band shows clearly on all of them. On a black, charcoal or dark blue door the letters and the peak sink into the paint, leaving only the red band. A red door hides the band. The spaced capitals read well at a distance on a clean, light door. The roof peak points to roofing, so it suits a roofing crew or an exterior contractor.
