A big burnt-orange chevron, like the peak of a roof seen from the front, fills the top half of the design. Below it, the sample company name, Summit, is made up and gets replaced by yours. The two lines pack tight into a nearly square block, and the orange peak is as wide as the letters.

This layout is tall and blocky, closer to a square than a banner, and both text lines are sized to the same width. Short, punchy names of five to eight letters work best because the capitals can stay thick and large. A long name can pull the lettering smaller while the peak above stays big, so the picture ends up louder than the words. Charcoal capitals are about as readable as lettering gets on white, silver, tan, light gray and yellow doors. On black, navy or dark green paint they nearly vanish and only the orange peak remains. The orange does well on white and gray but loses force against a red or rust brown door. The design is tall, so it wants a door panel with some height. It suits a roofer or exterior contractor that prefers something heavy and plain over anything decorative.
