Windshield Shine Auto Glass Logo
A blue windshield outline with a shine mark above bold navy capitals. Your name fitted and proofed first. $120 per door.
Auto glass van decals and logos for mobile windshield vans: what to print on the doors, sample lettering layouts, a windshield logo and how to pick colors.
Auto glass van decals have an unusual reader: the owner of the car being worked on, standing a few feet from your door. Put your business name, "auto glass" and a phone number on both sides of the van. If you want a logo, an auto glass van logo that shows a windshield says the trade before anyone reads a word.
The Windshield Shine Auto Glass Logo draws a blue windshield outline with a lighter streak across the glass. Under it, your name sits in bold, wide navy capitals, with "Auto Glass" in a lighter weight on the line below. The sample art carries a placeholder name. Yours is fitted and a proof is sent for approval first. It is $120 per door.
The windshield shape is wide and low, which fits a cargo van's flat door area better than a tall logo would. The blue and navy are a good match on a white van. The weak point is the second line: "Auto Glass" is set in lighter capitals, so on a narrow decal it shrinks. If that line matters to you, choose a wider decal and check the preview.
The truck or van carries glass and tools to a driveway, an office lot or an apartment parking space. Customers need:
Check with your state licensing board whether it wants a license number shown on the vehicle, and add one only if it does. Leave out wording that promises how long a job takes or what the work includes, since the door will outlast any promise.
Made-up names, (555) numbers:
Layout 3 has four lines and a long middle line, which needs the wide decal. The Make-Your-Own 5-Line decal lets you type each line, and the Business Name + Phone Number decal is the shorter option for layout 1.
Most vans are judged from across a street. An auto glass van also gets read from the side of the car, at a few feet. That helps: the second line, the website and the area get read along with the name.
The risk is the reverse. People look at the van while they wait, so a typo or a faded line gets noticed. Proof every line in the preview before you order, and see what truck lettering costs if you want to trim a line.
Cargo vans have solid door panels in many cases, but some have windows in the sliding or rear doors. Place the decal on a flat, solid part of the panel, below the window line, and keep it off curved edges and seams. If your van carries a glass rack on the outside, check that its mounts do not cover the decal area. Application steps are in our truck door install guide.
White vans are common among glass shops, and navy on white is strong. A red or black pair is the bolder choice. A pale blue line on a white door gets weak at distance. If the van is dark, use a white sticker block, since the contrast is then inside the decal.
The contour cut is +$10 per door on logo designs: the decal is cut to the shape of the logo instead of a rectangle. On the windshield logo, that leaves an outline rather than a box on the paint.
If a technician sometimes drives a personal car to a job, a removable sign is a possibility. We sell decals, not magnets, and the guide on magnetic truck door signs covers where magnets work and where they cause trouble. When you sell or re-letter the van, removing decals goes through the steps.
Other mobile trades share this kind of door space: mobile mechanic truck decals and cargo van and Sprinter lettering.
List your business name, the words "auto glass" or "windshield", and your phone number. If the van goes to the customer, add "mobile". Anything beyond that, such as a website or service area, is optional and only works if the lettering stays large enough to read at a few feet.
Common ideas are a windshield outline, a car silhouette or a shine mark on glass. Ours uses a windshield outline with a light streak in blue, above the company name in navy capitals. If you would rather not use a symbol, name and phone number in strong lettering is a complete door.
Our decals are made for solid door panels, as rectangles with their own background color, so place them on the panel and not on glass. We do not make window graphics, so lettering on glass would need a different source.
Use the same lines on the cab doors, but keep the layout shorter, since pickup doors are smaller. Name and phone, plus the word glass, is usually enough. Check the width in the preview, because a pickup door and a cargo van door give you different flat areas.
