Truck lettering at Work Decals is priced line by line, per decal. See what each option adds, three worked examples with shipping, and what to compare in any quote.
How much does truck lettering cost? At Work Decals the price is built line by line. A first number line starts at $12.99, and each extra line, wider size or color option adds a fixed amount. Every price is per decal, and you need one for each door. Below is the full list, three worked examples with the arithmetic, and the questions to ask when you compare a quote from anyone.
These are the amounts the door builder adds, per decal. (The ready-made product pages list one price per decal at any width and lettering color, so the builder is where each option is priced separately.)
The sticker background color is not on the list. White, Black, Yellow, Silver, Red and Blue all cost the same. The door color in the builder only changes the picture.
One USDOT line, 12 inch width, black lettering on a white sticker. That is $12.99 per decal. For both doors, 2 decals come to $25.98. The order is under $99, so shipping is the flat $5.99, for a total of $31.97.
Start with $12.99 for the USDOT line. Add $9 for the name, $6 for the city, $4 for MC and $6 for the 18 inch width. That is $37.99 per decal, and $75.98 for two. With code 10OFFNOW, 10% off the decals is $7.60, which brings the decals to $68.38. Add $5.99 shipping, because $75.98 is under the $99 line, and the total is $74.37.
$12.99 for USDOT, plus $9 name, $6 city, $4 MC, $3 for one extra line, $8 for the arch, $14 for 24 inch width and $2 for red lettering. That adds up to $58.99 per decal, or $117.98 for two. That is over $99, so shipping is free. With 10OFFNOW the decals drop by $11.80 to $106.18. Free shipping stays, because the $99 is counted before any code.
Your own total is whatever the builder shows as you add lines, so try a few combinations before you decide.
If you want a designed look instead of plain lettering, we offer 35 ready-made logo designs at $120 per door. We fit your company name to the design and send a proof to approve before printing. Both doors come to $240. Even one door clears the $99 free-shipping line. You can browse them in the custom logo shop, for example the Summit Block Mountain Logo.
A low number means little until the details match. Ask each seller:
Put every quote into the same unit, such as total for two doors delivered, before you compare.
Each optional line you leave off saves its price on every decal. The federal marking rule asks for the carrier's name and USDOT number on both sides, as the rule text says. A city line and an MC number are not part of it, though your state, a lease or your customers may still want them. Our USDOT number display rules page has the plain-English summary.
A truck whose name already shows elsewhere can carry just the USDOT Decal Sticker. A truck that needs name, city and numbers together can use the Custom USDOT Logo layout. Pick the width by measuring your door, because in the builder 24 inch costs $14 more per decal than 12 inch. Our truck door decal size guide shows how.
If you are weighing adhesive decals against removable signs, read magnetic truck door signs. For ten trucks that each need their own number, see fleet unit number decals.
Our ready-made logo designs are $120 per door, with your company name fitted to the design and a proof sent before printing. Two doors are $240. If you only need your name and numbers, lettering is cheaper and is priced line by line starting at $12.99 per decal.
Prices are per decal, so double them. A USDOT-only decal at 12 inch is $12.99, so two doors are $25.98 before shipping. Adding lines, width or red or blue lettering raises each decal by a fixed amount, shown in the builder as you go.
Only the lettering color can. Red and blue lettering add $2 per decal. Black and white add nothing. The six sticker background colors are free to choose, and the door color shown in the builder is just a preview to help you judge how the decal will look.
Shipping is $5.99 flat per order. Orders with $99 or more in decals ship free, and the $99 is counted before any promo code, so using 10OFFNOW for 10% off never takes free shipping away. The exact shipping amount appears at checkout before you pay.
