USDOT Decal Sticker
Just the number: your USDOT number in clear lettering. Same 3M/ORACAL vinyl, same 3-year warranty.
Know your exact registered name and USDOT number, pick a width, colors and a single decal or set of 2, then check the preview. Here is the order checklist.
To order DOT number stickers from Work Decals, have three things ready: your name exactly as it is listed on your FMCSA registration, your USDOT number, and an MC number only if you want one on the door. Then pick a product, a width, a lettering color, a sticker background and a single decal or a set of 2, check the live preview and pay. A tracking number reaches your email one to two days after you order.
Prices are per decal.
To build the lines yourself and watch them appear on a door, use the door builder. In it, extra lines, wider decals and red or blue lettering add to the price, as the truck lettering cost guide shows.
Every lettering product page has the same three choices.
Measure a flat part of the door before you pick a width. The truck door decal size guide shows how, and how big USDOT numbers need to be explains the 50-foot test.
The rule asks for letters that contrast sharply with the background they sit on, so choose a pair far apart in lightness and skip close shades. Our fonts and colors guide has pairings. On a product page, width and color choices do not change the price.
Each lettering product page has a Pack choice. Single decal is one decal at the listed price. Set of 2 is two identical decals, one for each door, at exactly double the price: $37.98 for a $18.99 decal.
The marking rule asks for the name and number on both sides, so a truck you are marking usually needs two. Full-art door sets are already a pair at $189 per set. Custom logo designs are priced per door.
The marking rule applies to the self-propelled vehicle. For a semi, that means the tractor's doors, not the trailer (Federal Register). Numbers on a trailer are your own system, covered in DOT requirements for trailers.
For trailer lettering, the Trailer / Unit Number decal is a pair at $24.99. Our pages on semi truck door decals and trailer decals show what suits each.
The live preview shows your decal on a truck door. We make every lettering decal exactly as you enter it, so this is the moment to catch errors. Read your name against your registration, then say each digit of the USDOT number aloud against your record. A wrongly typed number is not covered by the guarantee, as our refunds and returns page explains.
If you spot a mistake right after ordering, write to info@workdecals.com at once. If the decal has not been made yet, we will try to correct or cancel the order. Logo designs and door sets work differently: we fit your name and numbers to the design and email a proof to approve before printing.
Name matches your registration. USDOT digits copied from your record, not memory. A pair for both sides. The truck marked, not only the trailer. For made-up examples of right and wrong lettering, see USDOT number examples and mistakes.
We make the decals, and you are responsible for checking the rule, which can change, with FMCSA or your state. Our USDOT number display rules page has the plain-English summary.
Your tracking number is emailed one to two days after you place the order, with a link to follow the package. Delivery time after that depends on the carrier and where you are, so we do not promise a date. If the email is missing, check your spam folder, then contact us.
Use the single trade name on your FMCSA registration, exactly as it appears there. The marking rule allows the legal name or a single trade name of the carrier, as listed on Form MCS-150. Look up your record on SAFER and copy from it. If the name you advertise differs from the record, ask FMCSA before you print anything.
No. FMCSA says no marking requirement exists for an MC number, and you will only have one if you hold operating authority. If you want it shown, the USDOT + MC Two-Line and Custom USDOT Logo decals carry it. When space is tight, protect the name and the USDOT line first and drop the MC line.
Email us straight away with your order number. If the decal has not been made yet, we will try to correct or cancel the order. Once it is made, a decal that matches what you typed is not covered by the guarantee, even if the number was wrong, so the preview is your main check.
Shipping is a flat $7.99 per order, however many decals are in it, and it is free when the decals total $99 or more before any promo code. Putting every truck in one cart means one shipping charge, or none once you reach $99, instead of a charge for each small order.
Just the number: your USDOT number in clear lettering. Same 3M/ORACAL vinyl, same 3-year warranty.
The classic interstate stack: USDOT over MC. Centered, spaced, 2" letters. Add GVW or CA# in the builder.
Your business name, city, USDOT and MC together on one decal. Pick color, pick size, stick it on.
