EV charger installer van decals for electricians and installers: what goes on the doors, sample layouts, a plug and bolt logo and how to read green on white.
EV charger installer van decals need to answer one question for a person standing in a garage or a condo lot: what does this company do, and how do I reach it? Put the company name, the phrase "EV charger installation" and a phone number on both doors. If you already run an electrical van, you are adding a line, not starting over.
Many installers began as electricians, and their vans already carry a name and an electrical trade word. Re-lettering the whole van is not required. The simplest update is a new decal for the new service: the existing name stays and "EV Charger Installation" goes underneath it.
If you work only on chargers, the second line replaces the general trade word. Pick whichever is true for your business. A van that says "Electric" and also "EV Charger Installation" tells a viewer you do both, and one that says only "EV Charger Installation" tells them you do that. Neighboring pages on electrician truck decals, solar truck decals and work van decals show how related vans are lettered.
The people who look at the van are a mix. A homeowner at the garage door wants to know it is the company they hired. A neighbor or an HOA board member wants a name to look up. A property manager at a shared garage wants a phone number for follow-up. One layout serves all three:
Check with your state licensing board whether it wants a license number shown on the vehicle. We make no statement about what your van must show, and a decal says only what you tell it to say. Leave out claims about speed or price, since the door will outlast them.
Made-up companies and (555) numbers:
Layouts 1 and 3 fit the Make-Your-Own 5-Line decal. Layout 2 is a name and a number, which the Business Name + Phone Number decal handles directly. Compare widths in the door size guide before you pick one.
The Plug and Bolt EV Install Logo is a bright green plug outline with a lightning bolt inside, over your name in heavy charcoal capitals, with "EV Install" in smaller, spaced capitals under it. The sample art carries a placeholder name. Yours is fitted and proofed before printing. It is $120 per door.
Look at two details. The plug is bold and simple, so it reads as electrical at a glance, and the heavy charcoal name beneath it is what a person reads from a distance. The "EV Install" line is small compared with the name, so on a narrow decal it can be the part that gets lost. A wider decal fixes that, and a longer service phrase on its own line would work better in the five-line decal than in the logo.
The green in this logo is bright and light. On a white van, it makes a vivid mark but a weak line of text, so keep the plug green and the words dark. Charcoal on white is the strong reading pair. Do not use the bright green for a phone number. If your van is dark gray or black, a white sticker block keeps the logo's colors clear, because the contrast is inside the decal.
The optional contour cut on logo designs is +$10 per door, and the decal is cut to the shape of the logo instead of a rectangle. On this logo that follows the plug and the lettering, so only the mark sits on the paint. Application steps for either are in the install guide.
If an installer sometimes drives a personal pickup for estimates, a removable sign may be tempting. We sell decals, not magnets, and the guide on magnetic truck door signs explains where a magnet works and where it falls short.
The company name, "EV charger installation" or a close phrase, and a phone number. A website line is useful if homeowners request quotes online. Keep the lettering to the service and the number, since details like pricing change faster than a decal does.
If it is the same company, yes. Keep the name, colors and phone number the same so one business reads as one business. The EV line can be added as a new decal under the existing lettering, or you can order a fresh set that includes both the electrical trade word and the EV service.
A bolt is a familiar symbol for electricity and EVs, which helps people understand quickly. The tradeoff is that many companies use one. Your name and colors do the work of setting you apart, and our design pairs the bolt with a plug shape to give it a little more character.
Large enough that a person at the garage door can read it from a few steps back and a neighbor can read it from the curb. Test your layout in the door builder preview, then check the widths in the size guide.
