Trade name on line one, ILL.C.C. with your number and type letter on line two. Preview it, then order. $22.99 per decal.
Carriers licensed by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) can order a two-line decal. Line one holds your trade name, and line two holds ILL.C.C., your license number and your type letter, such as ILL.C.C. 123456 C. Illinois's rule for these carriers asks for the trade name and the license and registration number on both sides of the cab or power unit. One decal is $22.99 in 3M or Oracal vinyl, and a pair for both sides is $45.98.
The rule is section 18c-4701 of the Illinois Vehicle Code. It covers intrastate carriers licensed by the ICC, and it asks for the trade name as it appears on the license, or a recognized logo, together with the license and registration number. Our decal prints typed text, not a logo, so line one should be the name exactly as the license shows it. If your license is built around a logo, read the statute and confirm with the ICC how your name should appear before you order. For the name side of the question, see our company name on truck guide.
Line two follows the format in 92 Ill. Adm. Code 1307.20. The license number comes after ILL.C.C., and the carrier-type designation comes after the number. That designation is one of C, P, CP, PR or CPR, and it must match the one on your license. Type line two the way your license prints it and compare the letter before you pay, because we print exactly what you type. The builder allows 24 characters on line two and 32 on line one, so ILL.C.C. 123456 C fits with room to spare.
Our decals come in 12, 18 and 24 inch widths, and those figures measure the decal, not the lettering. Choose the width that suits the flat area on the door, then check how both lines sit in the live preview. The sticker can be Black, White, Yellow, Silver, Red or Blue, and the lettering can be Black, White, Red or Blue. If you want each line cut close to its own letters, the optional Contour cut adds $5 per decal. For a larger door layout, see our semi truck door decals page. If one peels or comes off within three years, we replace it free, and the tracking number follows by email 1 to 2 days after you order.
Shipping is $7.99 per order, free over $99, with tracking by email one or two days after you order. Install is DIY with a printed sheet and video link in the box. A 3-year guarantee covers a free replacement if it peels or comes off. Details: shipping, install, refunds and returns.
Two lines. Line one is your trade name as it appears on your ICC license, up to 32 characters. Line two is ILL.C.C., your license number and your type letter, up to 24 characters, such as ILL.C.C. 123456 C. The live preview shows both lines before you pay $22.99, so compare them with your license. A Set of 2 for both sides of the truck costs $45.98.
Use the trade name exactly as it appears on your ICC license. The Illinois rule describes that name as the trade name on the license, or a recognized logo, in section 18c-4701. Do not shorten the name or retype it from memory. Copy it from the license, then compare the preview letter by letter, including punctuation and spacing. If the license shows only a logo, this decal cannot print that logo, because it prints typed text.
The type letter goes after the license number, and ILL.C.C. goes in front of the number. The carrier-type designations listed in the administrative code are C, P, CP, PR and CPR, and you should use the one shown on your license. Type it exactly, because a letter that does not match the license is not what the rule describes. The format comes from 92 Ill. Adm. Code 1307.20. If your license shows something outside those five, ask the Illinois Commerce Commission before you order.
No. This decal prints the ICC license details only, and it adds no USDOT line. We do not say whether a particular Illinois truck must show a USDOT number, because we have not confirmed that for trucks outside the ICC licensing system. Ask FMCSA or the Illinois Commerce Commission about your own operation. Our state requirements guide gives the general picture, and the USDOT Decal Sticker is a separate product if you need that line.
Pick the width that fits the flat area on your door: 12, 18 or 24 inches. Those figures are decal widths, not letter heights, and we do not claim that any width satisfies an Illinois lettering rule. Read the rule at the link, including its lettering details, and confirm them with the Illinois Commerce Commission before you order. The door decal size guide covers door sizing in general. Look at the live preview on a door to judge how both lines fit, and order a pair if you want the same decal on both sides.
