The first line is very wide and sets the width of the whole mark, so this layout likes a single compound name of about ten letters, like the sample, or two short words. Longer names make the type smaller across the board. The second line is centered and shorter, so it takes a trade word, a city or a tagline. A name with nothing beneath leaves the lower line empty, which still reads fine. We fit the name and proof it before printing.

Black on a white, cream, light gray or yellow door gives the strongest contrast of any lettering color, so the main lines read from a long way off. The silver-gray star is the soft part: it has less contrast than the black and fades on a silver or gray door. On a dark door the black lettering is lost. It suits detailers, car washes and other trades that want a clean, modern look in a neutral palette.
