Plank Mark Flooring Logo
Brown capitals with a small wood plank mark above. Your name fitted and proofed first. $120 per door.
Flooring truck decals for installer vans, box trucks and pickups: what to print, a plank mark logo, sample door text and keeping a thin trade word readable.
Flooring truck decals work hardest while the van is parked. An installer may park in one driveway for several days, and every neighbor, delivery driver and visiting relative gets a long look at the door. So the lettering should make sense to someone standing still: the business name, the kinds of floors you install and a phone number. Everything else can wait for the estimate.
"Flooring" tells a reader the trade, but a few specific words add information: hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl plank, carpet. People searching for a floor often start with the material, so one line with two or three of them is useful. Resist adding all of them.

If your state or city licenses flooring contractors, check with your state licensing board whether it wants a number shown on the vehicle. A short two-line door, using the Business Name + Phone Number decal at $24.99 per decal, is enough for installers who get work by referral.
General knowledge, not a rule: many flooring crews use cargo vans, since boxes of plank, tile and tools stack inside. Others run box trucks for bigger jobs, or pickups with a covered bed or an enclosed trailer. A van or box truck gives you a long, flat side. A pickup door gives less room. Our door decal size guide explains how our widths of 12, 18 and 24 inches relate to your space.
For a big, flat panel on a van, 18 or 24 inches reads at a distance. See the cargo van and Sprinter van lettering page for the van-specific details.
The Plank Mark Flooring Logo is $120 per door. A small mark of wood planks sits above brown capitals, with a lighter, spaced line for the word "Flooring" below. Your name is fitted into the layout and a proof arrives before printing.
One thing to watch is the second line. The word "Flooring" is set much smaller than the main name. On a small decal it can shrink to a size that is hard to read from the curb. If the trade word matters to you, choose the 18 or 24 inch width, or check the proof for how large that line comes out.
Brown reads well on white, which is the color of many vans, and on cream or light gray. It does poorly on a dark green, dark red or black vehicle, where the brown loses contrast. The rectangular decal carries its own background and avoids that. A contour cut, trimmed to the artwork for $10 more per door, suits a white van. If your vehicles vary, choose the rectangle and keep the look consistent across them.
Vehicles change hands. If you sell the van, our guide to removing truck decals covers lifting a decal and the outline it can leave. If you only want a sign for some days, read the magnetic signs guide first. We sell decals and not magnets. A little care on a van you plan to resell is worth it.
You may also want to read about remodeling trucks and painting trucks, since installers often work alongside those trades.
The business name, the word flooring, a phone number and perhaps two or three materials such as hardwood, tile and laminate. Choose lettering that contrasts strongly with the van color. Leave off long service lists, since a person reads a parked vehicle in a few seconds.
A logo is useful if you want the same mark on estimates, uniforms and a website. For one van, a name and phone decal does the main job for $24.99 per decal. The logo is $120 per door, so a pair is $240. Add it when you are ready for matching branding.
Dust is a readability problem more than a damage problem. Wash it off gently with soap, water and a soft cloth. Keep adhesives and solvents off the vinyl, and avoid abrasive cleaners and scrubbing, which our refunds page lists as outside the guarantee.
Yes. The 5-line decal takes any text you type, so you can put the phone number on one line and a web address on another. Keep each line short, because shorter lines can be set larger. The live preview shows how your lines will look on a door.
Yes. Each decal is sold singly, so order two to put the same lettering on both sides. Two Business Name + Phone decals come to $49.98, and two five-line decals to $90. Shipping is a flat $5.99, free on orders of $99 or more, counted before discounts.
