Business Name + Phone Number Decal
Business name, optional tagline and phone number on one door decal for trucks and vans. $24.99 each.
Work truck door decals for landscaping, roofing, HVAC and construction: business name, phone and service line, plus USDOT only where the truck is covered.
Work truck door decals for a landscaper or contractor start with three lines: business name, phone number and what you do. A USDOT number joins them only if the truck is covered by the federal rules, which turns on weight and use, not on the trade. Our decal is a solid rectangle in the color you choose, so the lettering sits on a uniform field even when the door is weathered or patched.
The Business Name + Phone Number decal is $24.99 per decal and fits the job a trade truck does most: telling a homeowner who you are and how to reach you. Keep the service line short and literal, such as Lawn Care, Roofing and Gutters, or Heating and Air. Three short lines read at a glance, and five long ones do not.
Need more? The Make-Your-Own 5-Line decal is $45 per decal and lets you type any text: name, service, city, phone, and a spare line for a website or a license number. Its lines are whatever you type, so a crew with three trucks can order six decals and match every door.
Dust, dried mud, grass stain, primer patches and a door repainted a slightly different white all change what sits behind a lettered name. A decal printed as a solid rectangle brings its own background: White, Black, Yellow, Silver, Red or Blue, with Black, White, Red or Blue lettering. The builder warns you when lettering and panel colors are too close to read well.
The panel does not clean itself, so wash it with the truck. Put it on a clean, dry door free of wax, as the install page asks, so it holds.
A work truck falls under the federal rules when it is used in interstate commerce and meets the weight test, a rating of 10,001 pounds or more (FMCSA). A pickup towing a dump or equipment trailer is judged as a combination, which our pickup truck guide explains. Most trades stay inside one state, so the state rule is usually the one to ask about. FMCSA says some states require a USDOT number for intrastate carriers and tells you to check with your state agency.
When a truck is covered, the marking is the carrier's name and USDOT number on both sides (49 CFR 390.21). The Custom USDOT Logo puts name, city, USDOT and MC on one decal at $26. Junk removal and hauling crews face the same questions, and a crew that hauls other people's goods for pay across state lines should ask FMCSA about operating authority too. The who needs a USDOT number guide lays out the tests.
Some state licensing boards have their own rules for marking a vehicle used in a licensed trade. Ask yours what must appear and how before you order, because we print exactly what you type. A license number fits on the spare line of the 5-line decal. We do not quote sizes or wording for any board here.
Three trucks with the Business Name + Phone decal come to six decals, $149.94, and ship free. Want a symbol instead of plain lettering? Palm Road Script, a green brush logo with a palm-leaf accent, suits landscapers, and the Harbor Serif Stack logo is aimed at service fleets and contractors. Both are $120 per door. See fleet vehicle decals for ordering several trucks at once.
Only if the truck is covered. The federal test looks at weight rating, including a trailer if you tow, and whether the work crosses state lines (49 CFR 390.5T). A one-state crew follows its state's rule. If you are unsure, ask FMCSA or your state agency before you add a number you may not need.
Use the word a customer would type into a search: Roofing, HVAC, Lawn Care, Concrete. Keep it to a few words, because the phone number already tells people to call. Avoid a long list of services on one door. If you do several trades, put the main one on the decal and the rest on your website line.
You can type it on any spare line, and it prints as entered. Ask your licensing board first about what it requires and how it wants the number shown. We make exactly what you type, and a number entered wrongly is not covered by the guarantee, so copy it from your license.
A solid panel in a clear color keeps the lettering on one even background, so the mismatch sits around the decal instead of behind the letters. Choose a panel and lettering color with strong contrast. A fresh, clean spot on the door is still needed for the decal to stick.
