One extra number for the door or trailer: CA#, KYU, TXDOT, GVW, VIN or unit #. Type it in the builder.
Live preview. Type your lines on the right and watch the door update.
Your box truck's clearance on one decal, such as HEIGHT 13' 6". $12.99 each.
A one-line height decal for a box truck. Type the clearance in feet and inches the way the builder sample does, HEIGHT 13' 6", pick a width and colors, and check the preview. It gives the driver and anyone loading a quick reminder of how tall the truck is. It is a convenience decal and not a USDOT marking.
Measure the truck instead of trusting a spec sheet. Use a tape or a measuring pole to the tallest point, including anything fixed to the roof such as a vent, a rack or other roof equipment, and round up rather than down. Then write it as feet, an apostrophe, inches and a quote mark: 13' 6". Measure again after new tires or any change to what is bolted on top.
This decal is not part of the name and USDOT number that the federal marking rule asks for on both sides of a covered truck, and we are not citing any rule that requires a height decal. Think of it as a driver and dock aid, a number you can glance at before pulling under an overhang or into a garage. Your USDOT lettering still does its own job, and our box truck DOT guide covers that question.
Put it where you will actually see it, such as near the driver's door or by the rear door, and pick a width that fits that spot. Order a second decal if you want one on each side. Installation is DIY, with a printed instruction sheet and a link to the install video in the package, and the 3-year guarantee covers a free replacement if it peels or comes off.
Shipping is $5.99 per order, free over $99, with tracking by email one or two days after you order. Install is DIY with a printed sheet and video link in the box. A 3-year guarantee covers a free replacement if it peels or comes off. Details: shipping, install, refunds and returns.
We are not citing any rule that requires one, and we do not give legal advice. Owners add a height decal as a reminder for drivers and for whoever is loading. The marking the federal rule asks of a covered box truck is the carrier's name and USDOT number, which our box truck decals page and the USDOT display rules explain.
Use feet and inches with an apostrophe and a quote mark, as in the builder sample HEIGHT 13' 6". The line holds up to 24 characters, so the word HEIGHT, the numbers and the symbols all fit. If you prefer other wording, such as CLEARANCE, type it that way, because we print exactly what you enter.
Re-measure and order a new decal if the number is no longer true. A height decal that understates the truck is worse than none, so round up when you measure, and never copy the figure from a different truck. A wrongly typed number is not covered by the guarantee, so read the preview before you pay.
Yes, if you build a custom set. The Make-Your-Own 5-Line decal at $45 takes five free lines, so one could be HEIGHT and another a unit number. The Trailer / Unit Number pair at $18.99 has a unit number and a GVWR line instead. If you only need the height, this $12.99 decal does that one job.
Pick a pair that reads clearly from the cab. The sample uses red lettering on a white background, and black on yellow or white on black are other plain combinations. Red or blue lettering adds $2 in the builder. The decal is a solid rectangle, so your truck's paint color does not change how it reads.
