USDOT, your number, then GA, such as USDOT 1234567 GA. Type it, preview it, order. $18.99 per decal.
A one-line decal that prints USDOT, your number and then GA, set up in the builder as USDOT 1234567 GA. It is for the Georgia suffix: Georgia's transportation rules say carriers that operate only within Georgia display their USDOT number followed by the letters "GA." Type your own number, check the live preview on a truck door, and pick a width and colors. It costs $18.99 per decal in 3M or Oracal vinyl, or $37.98 for a Set of 2.
Whether your truck falls under that rule is for Georgia DPS to answer, not us. The wording is about carriers engaged solely in intrastate transportation, meaning only within Georgia. If you cross a state line, ask FMCSA and Georgia DPS which form of the number applies before you add letters to it. This is general information, not legal advice, and rules change. FMCSA's USDOT number page lists Georgia among the states that require intrastate registrants to get a USDOT number, and our Georgia DOT number guide goes through the details.
This decal prints one line and no company name. The federal marking rule, 49 CFR 390.21, asks for the carrier's legal name or single trade name together with the USDOT number on both sides, so a covered truck needs the name lettered as well. The Company Name Decal is $18.99 for the name alone. The Company Name + USDOT Decal is $27.99 for both on one rectangle, and its number line is free text, so you can type GA there too. We do not claim that any decal satisfies a rule. We print the line you type, and what it says is your responsibility.
On the line, type USDOT, a space, your digits, a space and GA, the same pattern Georgia's rule text shows. The line holds up to 24 characters, so the 16 in the sample leave room to spare. Take the digits from your registration, and check them on the free SAFER Company Snapshot; our USDOT number lookup guide shows the steps. If Georgia DPS tells you the suffix is not needed, type the number alone or order the USDOT Decal Sticker. Georgia's rulebook also has a separate paragraph for lightweight commercial motor vehicles that asks for a name, a city and state, and a phone number, so read it if your truck is a smaller one.
Shipping is $7.99 per order, free over $99, with tracking by email one or two days after you order. Install is DIY with a printed sheet and video link in the box. A 3-year guarantee covers a free replacement if it peels or comes off. Details: shipping, install, refunds and returns.
One line: USDOT, a space, your number, a space and GA. The builder sample is USDOT 1234567 GA, and the line holds up to 24 characters. It prints exactly what you type, in the width and colors you choose, so check the live preview against your registration before you pay $18.99. There is no company name on it.
Georgia requires carriers that operate only within Georgia to display their USDOT number followed by the letters "GA," according to the Georgia DPS rulebook. Whether that describes your operation is for Georgia DPS to confirm. Ask it, in writing if you can, and have your truck's weight and routes ready when you do.
Do not guess. The Georgia wording we verified is for carriers operating only within the state, and the federal rule asks for the name and the USDOT number. A truck that crosses state lines should get an answer from FMCSA and from Georgia DPS before any letters go on the door. Our state requirements guide is a starting point for other states.
No. The digits are the number FMCSA assigns, and Georgia's rule describes GA as letters that follow the USDOT marking. When you look a carrier up on SAFER, you search by the digits alone. If you need a number first, our guide to getting a USDOT number covers the application.
The federal rule does not name a spot. It asks for the marking on both sides of the vehicle, in letters that contrast sharply and can be read from 50 feet in daylight while stopped. Check Georgia's rulebook for any wording of its own. Our guide to where to put a USDOT number covers doors, cabs and common mistakes.
