USDOT, MC and TXDOT numbers on three lines for Texas carriers running interstate and intrastate. Type all three, order. $25.99.
Texas carriers that run interstate loads under an MC number and intrastate loads under a TxDMV certificate use this three-line version. USDOT goes on top, MC in the middle and TXDOT underneath, all on one solid rectangle. TXDOT is the old name for the TxDMV intrastate certificate. Each of the three lines is required here, so have all three numbers at hand. Enter them, then compare the lettering on a truck door in the live preview.
TxDMV's own explanation is why this decal has three lines. It says interstate hauling needs an MC number from FMCSA, intrastate hauling needs the TxDMV certificate, and one does not cover the other. It also says a USDOT number is an identifier and not operating authority. A carrier that works both kinds of freight therefore has three numbers to show, and one decal keeps them together. The TxDMV carrier page has the wording, and the MC number vs USDOT number guide explains the federal side.
Each of the three numbers comes from its own application. USDOT numbers are applied for in Motus at motus.dot.gov. The MC number is FMCSA operating authority, and FMCSA lists a $300 fee for permanent authority. The TxDMV certificate comes through the TxMCCS credentialing system, and insurance must be filed electronically before TxDMV approves it. Copy each number from the record for its own application, not from a quote or an old invoice, since the decal prints exactly what you type. The FMCSA operating authority page lists the fee.
The builder sample reads USDOT 1234567 on top, MC 890123 in the middle and TXDOT 1234567 underneath, and each line stops at 24 characters. Choose 12, 18 or 24 inches, plus a background and lettering color from the builder's list. The federal rule asks for letters that contrast sharply with the background, so compare the pair in the preview. The price is $25.99 per decal and $51.98 for a Set of 2, one for each door. A Contour cut adds $5 per decal and cuts each line close around its lettering. Tracking arrives by email one or two days after you order.
Shipping is $7.99 per order, free over $99, with tracking by email one or two days after you order. Install is DIY with a printed sheet and video link in the box. A 3-year guarantee covers a free replacement if it peels or comes off. Details: shipping, install, refunds and returns.
Three lines, and all three are required on this product: USDOT and your federal number on top, MC and your operating authority number in the middle, and TXDOT and your TxDMV certificate number underneath. The builder sample is USDOT 1234567, MC 890123 and TXDOT 1234567, and each line stops at 24 characters. The decal has no name line. It costs $25.99 per decal, and the preview shows all three lines before you pay.
The two authorities answer different questions. MC is the federal interstate operating authority, and the TxDMV certificate is the state authority for work inside Texas. A carrier that does both kinds of work holds both, and the USDOT number sits alongside them as the federal identifier. This decal shows all three so the lettering matches the paperwork. If your trucks only run inside Texas, the USDOT and TXDOT two-line decal covers the two numbers instead. Our Texas DOT number guide covers the TxDMV side in more detail.
For a USDOT or MC number, search FMCSA's free SAFER Company Snapshot by USDOT number, MC number or company name, and compare the legal name with your registration. The Licensing and Insurance carrier search covers interstate for-hire carriers that have authority or pending applications. For the TXDOT line, copy the number from your TxDMV certificate, because the decal prints exactly what you type. The USDOT number lookup guide walks through the search. Check every digit on all three lines before you pay.
A Set of 2 is two matching decals, one for each door, at double the single price. Choose the Contour cut if you want each line cut close around its own lettering. On this product that is $25.99 plus $5 per decal, so a Set of 2 with the Contour cut comes to $61.98. The width and colors do not change the price on this page, so pick them for legibility in the preview.
The 3-year guarantee replaces a decal that peels or comes off, at no charge. Our refunds and returns page covers the wider satisfaction terms, including replacement or a refund of the product amount. Keep your order number handy if a decal fails, so we can find the order.
