Fence Company Truck Decals for Pickups and Trailers

Fence company truck decals for flatbeds, pickups and trailers: a picket fence logo, sample door text, decals versus magnets and selling the truck later.

Fence company truck decals have to survive a hard life: bundles of posts slid into the bed, panels strapped to a rack, and a trailer behind it all. The trucks also change over time. A used flatbed joins the crew, an old pickup is sold, and the lettering needs to follow. So the real decision is how permanent you want the door to be, and what it costs to redo.

Decals or magnets for a crew that swaps trucks

A decal is adhesive vinyl meant to stay put. A magnetic sign comes off in seconds, but it only holds on steel and needs a flat, clean surface. We sell decals and not magnets, so if one truck is shared or borrowed, our magnetic signs guide lays out where a magnet works and where it causes trouble.

For the trucks that stay with the company, a decal is the simpler pick, since it is always on the door. When one is sold, our guide to removing truck decals explains how to take it off without harming the paint, including the faint outline it can leave behind. Our guarantee replaces a decal that peels or comes off, but our refunds and returns page says it does not cover damage from removal and reapplication, so plan lettering for trucks you intend to keep.

What a fence truck door should say

The audience is a homeowner who sees your truck parked at a neighbor's yard, which is a quick glance from a car or a sidewalk. Name, trade word and phone number are enough. Material names are useful, because people often search for them: wood, vinyl and chain link all do the job in two or three words.

Sample doors with made-up details:

  • Two lines: ABC Fence Co. / (555) 010-0133
  • Four lines: ABC Fence Co. / Wood, Vinyl and Chain Link / Serving Anytown / (555) 010-0133

The first uses the Business Name + Phone Number decal, $24.99 per decal. The second needs the Make-Your-Own 5-Line decal at $45 per decal. Fence installers may be licensed or registered as contractors in some places. Check with your state licensing board whether it wants a number shown on the vehicle, and put it on a spare line only after you have checked.

The Picket Fence Block Logo is $120 per door. It has a row of five tan pointed pickets above heavy green capitals, with a smaller line for "Fence Co." underneath. Your name is fitted to it and a proof arrives before printing.

The pickets say "fence" without any words, which helps when the door is seen from a distance and the letters are small. The heavy green capitals take the space, so a name of one or two words works well and a long one might need a shorter version on the decal. The second line is smaller than the main name, so choose a wider decal if "Fence Co." has to be readable.

Contrast with fence-job dirt

Fence work means mud, concrete splash from setting posts and sawdust. Green and tan read well on a white truck. On a green or tan truck, they blend into the paint, and a tan truck turns the pickets invisible. Choosing the plain rectangle gives the logo its own backing on any truck color. A contour cut, which trims the decal to the artwork for an extra $10 per door, is a fit for white and silver trucks only. Our truck lettering cost guide shows how the options add up for a fleet.

Trailers and other pages to read

Fence crews tow trailers with posts, panels and equipment. Read trailer decals for business for putting your name on one, and landscaping and contractor trucks for crews that overlap with yours.

Frequently asked questions

What should I put on fence company truck decals?

Your business name, a phone number and one short line about what you build, such as wood, vinyl or chain link. A service area line helps if you work in a particular city. Leave off long lists, since a truck is read quickly. Check your licensing board about any license number before printing it.

Can I use magnets on a fence truck instead?

Magnets work on steel panels that are flat and clean, and they come off when you want them gone. They can fly off at speed or collect grit under them. We sell decals, not magnets. If your truck stays with the company, a decal is simpler. The magnet guide covers both sides.

Will concrete splash or mud damage a decal?

Mud and splash are mostly a readability problem. Wash the decal gently with soap, water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and hard scrubbing, and do not aim a pressure washer straight at an edge, since a strong jet can lift a corner. Dried concrete should be softened with water first, not scraped.

Does the logo work for vinyl and chain link fences too?

Yes, the pickets are a general fence symbol. They look like a wooden picket fence, which some vinyl installers may see as a mismatch. If wood is not your main product, think about whether the symbol fits your work, or choose plain lettering with your trade words instead.

What does a pair of logo decals cost?

The logo is $120 per door, so a pair is $240, and the contour cut adds $10 per door. Shipping is $5.99, free on orders of $99 or more. You approve a proof before printing, and the fitted name is yours to check for spelling and spacing. A plain name and phone decal is $24.99 each.
